Mission: History
Timeline: MD 34 || 09:13

Sickbay was flat out trying to get teams ready, supplies arranged and sensitive cultures into storage for transporting to the surface. Antonio had already moved nearly 20 containers to one side of a spare room packed with medkits, supplies and various liquids for treatment purposes for when they arrive at the planet. Several teams had been picked and more were ready to go down in the second wave once basic shelters had been put up and the region had been secured for safety.

There were, as to be expected, some grumbles about what lay ahead since some had some shift rotations swapped because of this mission but they got to work as Antonio knew they would even if he was only recently appointed as Chief Medical Officer. That last detail still settling in, Chief Medical Officer.

He figured it was part of the reason why people followed him, he'd hear people out and let them have a gripe and groan but knew afterwards it was back to work as usual and they'd do it. If someone felt heard, listened to and understood then it took a weight off and they worked better, more so if something could be done about the weight applied.

Not knowing how the supplies were to be moved he considered talking to the CAG for ferry services if the transporters were occupied for personnel deployment. He could use them to ferry even more supplies and he could easily clean out a sizeable portion of reserves but the thought nagged him that if doing that it could pose a security issue. If people found out or knew of the supplies they may try and take them, especially since they were already in a desperate situation as it was.

After much thought Antonio opted for additional manpower over supplies as supplies were only good if there were bodies to use them. Supplies could be beamed down as required instead of sitting there posing the risk, with more people it meant more could be treated, action could be taken and for most that could be the distraction they needed while the away teams did what they had to do.

All of this after the shotgun appointment. Antonio had hoped that he'd be an ACMO for at least another year or two but sometimes time was a luxury that few could afford and often talent was rewarded, and well if done exceptionally. He was left to wonder what he'd left behind, he had no partner nor lover but he'd left friends and family behind when he joined the Triumphant and right now he was missing them.

Xavier sent his updated report to the command authority and Antonio entered a little snippet that there would still be room on shuttles assigned, if they were, to Sickbay needs should the Marine or security departments should they be used for other supplies.

It seemed though a moments break to enjoy a cup of Coffee was out of the question as a crewman came in nursing a bloody nose. He rose from his chair and leapt into action. "What happened?" Antonio asked directing the injured woman to a bed. The explanation was simple and straight forward, she tripped in the Holodeck and landed hard on the grass hitting her head on the edge of the walkway.

A quick scan revealed nothing serious in terms of damage and a few sweeps of the re-generator would fix the problem. A hypospray would ease the headache.
