Holiday Planning

Mission:
Falling Star
Location: Martha's Office
Timeline: MD35; 17:00
With another period of shore leave at Pacifica coming up Martha decided it was time to plan what she would do with the unexpected free time. It was one of the many planets Martha had not yet visited - so it would be another to tick off her list of planets to visit.
She was sat in her office an hour after the end of her shift reading up on the planet. There were a lot of activities available but Martha knew some of them wouldn't appeal to all three of them - Martha felt comfortable by herself on an unknown world but she didn't like the idea of Lucia or Elsie going off by themselves to do something else. She saw it as her duty to protect them both.
The Tactical Officer and her wife had since decided to put their family plans on hold for a while - mainly due to how busy their working lives were and opting to raise a family back on Earth rather than on a starship or a planet based facility. It was a very reluctant choice for both of them to make but ultimately they knew it was the right decision.
Pacifica's fine beaches and seas looked very appealing to Martha. She was quite happy to lie on the beach with a glass of wine and a book for most of the day although she expected Lucia and Elsie would probably want to be a bit more active on their shore leave.
Martha began to read about the large underwater city - hi'Leyi'a. It was unlike anything Martha had ever seen before and she immediately decided to put a visit to the aquatic city on the provisional "to do list". Depending on how long they had on Pacifica Martha hoped she'd at least get a day to read on the beach.
"Sorry beaches...but this underwater city looks interesting and I don't particularly want to pass up the opportunity to visit" Martha muttered.
She then began to look at potential accommodation. There were a few places which Martha looked at on a list in the database but none of them caught her eye like Jennita did.
Jennita was only a small town but it was situated near a cliff overlooking the ocean. There was even a bistro which had a dance floor which was above the sea below the cliff. Martha didn't particularly enjoy dancing but she knew Lucia and Elsie did and would be unlike any dance floor they'd seen before.
Martha commented. "I suppose that bistro will give me a chance to sit and read a book at the table whilst Lucia and Elsie enjoy the dance floor overlooking the ocean. Jennita it is...providing there's somewhere to stay while we're there"
With a few more things on the list to do whilst the Cusacks were on their holiday on Pacifica the Tactical Officer ensured she'd taken a note of everything to suggest to Lucia and Elsie later that evening after their dinner.
Just as she was about to leave her quarters a message notification alert sounded from her console - it was a communication from her estranged sister Lily marked as "urgent".
"What do you want Lily? You haven't bothered to reach me in years so why now?" Martha muttered to herself.
After pausing for a few moments Martha decided that she didn't want to try and build bridges with her family - at least not right now. Instead of deleting the message she just left it as unread and logged off from her work console for the night.
Martha had Lucia and Elsie now and they were all she needed.
