Warning

Posted on Sun Aug 12, 2018 @ 8:34pm by Commodore Michael Aravan & Captain Madelina Weisz

Mission: Falling Star
Location: Ready Room/Capital City
Timeline: MD 34 || 1200 Hours

As soon as he got in his ready room, Michael tapped his combadge. =^=Aravan to Weisz. Respond, please,=^= He requested, hoping that there hadn't been a ground based attack on the planet yet.

Down on the surface, Maddy continued to help in administering the cure to those who needed it. She was so far out of her comfort zone it wasn't even funny, but this was a necessary evil, and with the help of the doctors around her, she knew exactly what to do to the point she no longer required supervision. Now that she was able to work on her own, they'd be able to help people out even faster and the death toll would seriously decline. She'd just finished with her latest patient when the call from the Commodore came through, and that caused her to take leave for a moment so she could deal with that. =^=Weisz here. What can I do for you, Commodore?=^= she asked in response.

=^=You were right about the Ambassador,=^= Michael responded. =^=Intel and Operations caught her sending a coded message from the com center. She transported off the ship before she could be taken into custody, though. She transported to a Valdore class ship and gave me a warning that the attacks weren't done yet. She was going to fire on the capital city, but we fought her off. Sadly, she self destructed her ship before we could apprehend her when she lost.=^=

The redhead woman didn't say anything for a few seconds as she processed what she'd just heard. Maddy had the strongest feeling that the Ambassador was only one of the masterminds behind all of this, but now she was dead and wouldn't be answering for any of the crimes she'd committed. Or for the countless lives she'd ended. That pissed her off more than anything. =^=I... see.=^= she said as her brow furrowed. I'm really beginning to loathe being right. We'll be able to return to the ship soon. Aside from the potential attack, things seem to be moving fairly smoothly on our end.=^=

=^=Good. Keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary,=^= Michael told her. =^=If more patients start to die than survive, check every doctor, nurse and intern volunteer that they have there.=^=

=^=I've been trying to watch everyone, but so far, nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. Sadly, that doesn't mean there isn't someone here that's working for the other side.=^= Maddy stated, watching as people came and went. This was definitely a nerve-wracking situation, but they just needed to continue being vigilant. =^=If anything strikes me as unusual, you all will be the first to know.=^=

=^=Thank you, Maddy=^= Michael said. =^=I'm still waiting to hear back from the other two away teams. They've been quiet so far=^=

=^=I can try to reach out as well if you need me to.=^= Maddy told him. She had to wonder what was going on with the other teams that would keep them from making contact. Were they in some kind of trouble? Given the way things were going, she was a bit worried that that was exactly the case.

=^=I'm going to give them fifteen more minutes. Do you want me to send additional Security down to your area?=^= Michael asked.

Maddy thought for a moment. Apparently, the attacks weren't over, and extra Security wasn't a bad idea. =^=Yes. If the attacks aren't over yet, a little force might be a good idea. Do you want me to let Doctor Bromela know what's going on just in case there are further attacks? At this point, I'm not sure telling anyone is a good idea, but she deserves to know so she can help keep an eye out on anyone who might try to do something.=^=

=^=I'll have them sent down in a few minutes,=^= Michael replied. =^=if you need anything else down there, contact me.=^=

=^=You have my word on that.=^= the redhead stated.

=Aravan out.=^= the Commodore said before he opened a comm to Security. =^=Beam down to the capital city and take orders from Captain Weisz on site. Her coordinates are in the transporter buffer around. Take a dozen with you.=^=

A few minutes later, a dozen gold clad Security personnel appeared outside of the hospital complex.

=^=De'Deletio to Captain Weisz. Security is outside.=^= A brawny looking tanned human said over his combadge.

Maddy couldn't help but breathe a little easier now that she knew there was a planned, yet failed, attack on the area they were in. =^=Noted. I want two-thirds of you to remain outside... keep your eyes and ears open for anything that might seem out of the ordinary and report it immediately. The rest of you are to come inside and cover our people.=^=

=^=Acknowledged,=^= came the response before a dozen came into the hospital while the other two dozen stayed outside and set up a perimeter. The head Security person looked for the redheaded Captain and approached her. "Lieutenant De'Deletio reporting," he said.

Maddy looked toward the newcomer. "Quick response time. I can appreciate that, Lieutenant. We're to keep an eye and ear out for any potential danger. Anyone so much as blinks weird, I want to know about it."

"You'll be the first to hear it, Captain," the Security man told her.
